Oil and gas revenues (OGR) of the Russian budget increased by 38.67% in April compared to March, amounting to 855.6 billion rubles, as reported by the Ministry of Finance on May 6. For the first time this year, additional OGR at the end of April returned to the positive zone. With a baseline volume of 834.6 billion rubles, they totaled 21 billion rubles. In March, the budget did not receive 234.3 billion rubles. At the beginning of May, Finance Minister Anton Siluanov noted that around 200 billion rubles would flow into the treasury due to favorable market conditions. "We expect these [additional OGR]. But I want to emphasize that the levels of revenue and shortfalls over the past two months are the same. We are talking about an amount of approximately 200 billion rubles," he remarked (quote from TASS). Despite deviations from the baseline volume, OGR revenues have been steadily increasing each month since the beginning of the year, totaling 617 billion rubles in March, 432.3 billion rubles in February, and 393.3 billion rubles in January. However, the April figure is still 21.22% lower than the level recorded during the same period last year, when OGR in Russia amounted to 1.086 trillion rubles. More from us: Telegram channel
